| TRIZ was developed in the
former USSR. TRIZ is the acronym for the
Russian name that translates as the 'Theory
of Inventive Problem Solving'.
TRIZ is based on the idea that problems
and their solution are repeated across all
industries, and so solutions to many problems
that arise may have been solved in some
other application. TRIZ attempts to turn
invention into a systematic method by reducing
it into a series of principles.
TRIZ can be used in Design
for Six Sigma (DFSS).
