| Scenario Planning is a form
of strategic
analysis. The military routinely
plan 'scenarios' for possible future wars
and act them out in war games.
In industry scenario planning is similarly
a team activity that looks at the long term.
The team identifies future trends in technology,
demographics, political factors etc. It
then selects the factors that will have
most impact on the organization. The team
then constructs various 'plots' of what
will happen during the transition from the
present to the future state.
